I am hoping all the strange little symptoms I have go away with my uterus. Oh, I also have had more pain around my hips. I do not know if that is related or not.
I have a lot of pain in my lower back that often ends up making my hip pain pretty bad. It's like a sciatic nerve pain, and I understand that can be a symptom of adenomyosis. I usually feel it on my left side. I thought, in the past, that it was because of the ovarian cyst I have on that side. I guess it's possible that both conditions are irritating my lower back and hip area.

Some months I feel it on my right side during ovulation, but it's never as significant as it is when I feel the pain on my left side. I wonder what it's all actually doing in there. Maybe I don't wan to know.

And GONE was the pain and discomfort I constantly felt. I am only three weeks out but I feel SO much better. The constant fullness and bloating is gone. Yes, the swelly belly is here but compared to how I felt three weeks and one day ago, I'll gladly deal with it!! And no more awful, random, painful periods!! I just know you will be so happy on the other side too!!
Use this time to learn and research and plan and organize and before you know it, you'll be done.
pcar68, I will be hoping and praying for good news from you real soon. xxxLaura
Thank you so much for sharing your encouraging story. That is amazing how you felt relief so soon. I'm trying to think positively about the opportunity that I have to fix what's not working right for me; you just helped me with achieving that by sharing your experience. Thanks! ((hugs))

Thanks, Dormouse:-) I appreciate the good thoughts. What's funny for me is that since it's been a slow progression over many years, I'm not that aware of being uncomfortable most of the time. But I'm definitely looking forward to not bleeding so much! I think we'll be a lot better...like everyone is saying. Here's to getting to the other side together...*hugs*

I'm thinking we should "friend" each other on here so I can more easily keep up with your progress.

Maybe it would be a good thing to do with others that we connect with in some way on here.

I joined here two years ago when the doctor discovered a complex ovarian cyst, but I was never active, so I am a newbie and still trying to figure this whole thing out.

Re: How Large Has Your Uterus Grown?

I don't know what I measure but I don't have a pouch I have a large hard ball above my naval and my students keep asking me if I am pregnant. Is that my uterus and or fibroid?

I never asked those questions of my Dr just what can we do to make me feel normal.

I got my information from the ultrasound report. The size of my uterus, my ovaries, and any fibroids are listed in the report.

I just know your doctor will come through and make you feel normal again.

I hope so. I called the office and left a message for the triage nurse. I wonder if she could tell me for my records. I am getting nervous the more I read and more symptoms I begin to develop.

Re: How Large Has Your Uterus Grown?

I'm not sure how big mine is either but today it feels like it weighs 100 pounds...UGHHH!!! My surgery is scheduled for June 18 and I can't wait. I had a lap, D&C and hysteroscopy in December and had fibroids and uterine polyps removed but in seeing the surgeon last week, she said my uterus was larger than it should be because of more fibroids. As she put it, I'm under attack by my uterus so it's time to get it gone! I'm nervous, happy, scared....I just want my life back!! Do any of you feel the same?

Re: How Large Has Your Uterus Grown?

Mine is 13.2 long and 9.6 X 10.7 across. I see the doctor tomorrow to discuss what to do. I am really uncomfrtable and tired odf peeing all of the time. I also have other symtoms. I can't decide wether to just have the Hysterectomy and get it over with or try something less invasive. I am 53 and done have kids.

Re: How Large Has Your Uterus Grown?

My uterus is 11x5x6 cm, which my doctor said is 'mildly enlarged'. I have suspected adenomyosis. I can't quite get passed the scared enough to be happy yet, but I do hope my mid-section will feel less full and heavy all of the time.
