Confused again

I went in for my pre-op appt today and my Dr. said that he doesnt think that I need a full hyster. He is wanting to do a Partial and do it laproscopic. The problem with this has been with the hospital and my insurance. The Dr. said that he could get around that on the day of surgery just to let him know. My question is I am 33 and am worried that if doing a partial hyster would be cause me to have to go in later and have a my cervix removed later. So ladies that have had a partial does the constant pain go away with the partial, sexually and all? Please help

Re: Confused again

I had a partial Hysto . My cervix and both ovaries were left in.
I don't know if in the future I would need a possible surgery. I really don't want to think about that just right now..
I honestly don't have any pain to complain about at the moment, but before my surgery I was in extreme pain.
The intimacy is great now...and even there no problems regarding pain. Maybe other Sisters might have a different input
For you.

Re: Confused again

My mother had a partial hysterectomy in her 20's and had to have rest taken out in her 40's. She would always say that she should have it all taken out the first time. Ask for a second opinion that's always an option. Wishing you the best.
