Surgery soon

I am fairly new to this site and this is my first post. I finally made the decision to have surgery. I have fibroids and have been told the size is of about 16 weeks. I am scheduled for 1/23/02, but may have to postpone to February because of some problems at my work. I don't know how long I have had the fibroids but could of been for awhile. I have not been real good about yearly checkups. I have been having different symtoms for at least a couple of years. I just thought they were other normal aches and pains. Then in October me husband made me go to my GP because I was so tired and I havie problems with my blood pressure. While doing a sonogram of my kidneys, they discovered the fibroids. Also I am anemic and have some kidney damage (having scope on Monday). I hope I made right choice about surgery, I just want to feel better, I don't want to keep feeling like this, I have two beautiful gransons and don't have much energy to do anything with them. This site has make me feel alot better about my decision.
