About that I.V......

Hi there! My IV was only in until the next morning. I was begging them all night to take it and the cath out (I can not stand IV's or being cathed). Anyhow, princessh had some good advice I thought. Also the thing she mentioned about the local cream that numbs the site. I had that and it works great. I think I was stuck at least 3 times and it did not bother me at all. With out that I would have been screaming. Good luck!

Ok I have changed my thinking process...

its not to get mad at the nurse for not hitting the vein, what I need to do I suppose is make sure my pain is managed where it is felt very little instead of getting so mad/ Well this makes a whole lot more sense!!!
Thanks everyone for the name of the pain med that I will ask for before a I.V. and I plan to request this at my pre-op just like a birth plan before my babies were born I suppose I need a surgery plan huh? Cant get out of it, might as well get used to it....
