Yep, me too....

My TAH is 1/29 and I went out last month on a pajama buying spree...then, last week, as my health has continued to detiorate, I hit the grocery store and loaded up on single serving fruit cups, jello, pudding, soup, oatmeal and juices. I am very fortunate that my D(step)D/23 yrs is a "starving college student" and was very willing to handle a ceiling to floor pre-op housecleaning for cold hard cash.

My DH said a few days ago that I was "nesting"....glad to hear you all are too!

Oh Yeah!!!

Hi Betty

I am soooo with you on this one. I think I am driving every person in my life nutso but you know, it really is helping me. My surgery has finally been scheduled for the 4th of March but I am preparing like a madwoman. I think the thought of doing something instead of sitting around and stewing over things is helpful. Of course, my five kids help to keep my mind on other things. I haven't done any freezer cooking yet but I am getting lots of recipes and ideas from friends so when I am ready to cook I am ready. Best of luck on your castle stay and speedy recovery to you!

My surgery is scheduled for 8:45 Jan 23. Good luck. I'll be anxious to see how everything goes.

Glad to know this is normal! I started getting ready before Thnksgiving, painted the kitchen... I have packed and unpacked, I have lists everywhere and have started training hubby to where things are. My 20 year old told me she would be moving to her own place maybe this weekend and I said, " Good I can get your room repainted and the house done before Feb 5 surgery!" Real mom of the year comment! ! I have bought all the things for my hospital trip. 3 weeks away! Even went to the butcher and bought a meat pack! Like 20 lbs of meat is going to make it 3 weeks!! Never thought about it being nesting until I read the board, and then the old memories came back! That would explain my behavior! Is irritable also a part of this?:burning:
Best Wishes,

I'm going crazy too. My mind just kepps running from one to another thing until I think I'm going to pass out from the stress. My date with destiny is 2-5-02, that is if I don't chicken out. I think that you being able to get all that done is incredible! I want to get stuff done, my mind is on it, I just can't make my body get up and do it. I'm anemic and that slows me down, but mostly I think it's just nervousness. Y'all keep me in your prayers and I will surely keep you in mine.

I guess I haven't gotten the nesting thing going on yet. I've got 13 days to go before surgery. Of course I have to go to work weekdays. If I were at home during the day I would probably be nesting like crazy!
