Last night I was playing on the computer and came across
The Dialectizer and I've been having lots of fun with it. It takes any paragraph you type in the text box and changes it to either Cockney, Elmer Fudd, Swedish Chef dialects and more. I've taken a paragraph from my biography in Meet the Hostesses to give you an example.
Here's the paragraph as I wrote it:
I found women here who could answer my questions about recovery, but I also found that I could answer questions and help other women. During those long months at home, I found it rewarding to help others, and at the same time I was making friends. Several of those friendships have deepened over the nearly two years I've been here, and I know that these ladies will remain my friends for years to come. I want to continue to give other women the same support and love that I received when I needed it (and still need it at times). I'm constantly amazed at how this site has grown and continues to grow.
Here's the same paragraph, but written in the
Swedish Chef dialect:

Now here it is in the
Elmer Fudd dialect:
I found women hewe who couwd answew my qwestions about wecovewy, but I awso found that I couwd answew qwestions and hewp othew women, uh-hah-hah-hah. Duwing those wong months at home, I found it wewawding to hewp othews, and at the same time I was making fwiends. Oh, dat scwewy wabbit! Sevewaw of those fwiendships have deepened ovew the neawwy two yeaws I've been hewe, and I know that these wadies wiww wemain my fwiends fow yeaws to come. I want to continue to give othew women the same suppowt and wove that I weceived when I needed it (and stiww need it at times). I'm constantwy amazed at how this site has gwown and continues to gwow.
