Hi I am new to this board and just wondering if anyone has felt like this before there hysterectomy. I am new to this so not sure how to fel. I have had pain for the last two years in my lower right side but it moves. Ihave pain more at night, is this strange or has it happened to others. I have alot of gas, is this a symptom. I am on the birth control pill so I dont get alot of bleeding as much as other people, I do but not what I have heard. I would like to know I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue but could this be one of the reasons why I have this. I am very scared to have this taken out. I have a fibroid tumour he said 26 x 33 I am not sure if it is cm or mm. Will I gain werght after this is taken out or will I loose. I am really hoping to loose but scared. Can anyone please tell me more about the way I should feel and should I have this taken out. Thank you

Hi Fiona and welcome! Only you can make the decision to have a hysterectomy. This is something to discuss with your doctor. Then look into all of your options and alternatives.
Here are some links that I think will be helpful to you:

Every woman is different. Some women will tell you they gained weight and others will tell you they lost after their hysterectomies. I don't know if your chronic fatigue would be caused from the fibroid you have unless you are bleeding alot. Anemia can certainly cause fatigue. Did your doctor do a blood count on you?

I hope this helps you a little bit. Do some research and I think you will find that you will make the right decision for YOU.

My very best wishes to you, Fiona! Keep us posted!
