Ok, now I am scared

You ladies are so wonderful!

Yes, had a colonoscope, a year ago, nothing shows.... IBS... SLB, you know about that one.

Doc thinks it MIGHT be a left over gall stone from my gall bladder removal 25 years ago... I think not, been too many years with no problem.

Doc thinks it might be cancer in the lymph nodes and liver, this is scary. Lots of liver pains, and other symptoms kinda point this way.

Doc thought it might be giardia, 3 negative tests say no.

Doc thought it might be ulcers, I am already on ulcer medication and upper endoscope showed some irritation, no ulcer.

Doc thought it might be a bowel blockage, nope.

Doc did an ultrasound, nothing showed, other than I have no gall bladder, DUH, it was right there in my chart that I had none. (Lousy ultrasound tech!)

Doc referred me to a GI doc, who ran all the usual tests, nothing...

My abdominal muscles tighten up, I become really guarded upper right quadrant with lots of pain, no fever, no nausea, but I vomit, and the food that comes up can be several days old. I have a normal bowel movement in the afternoon, up half the night with liquid stools, then it stops and in the morning I have normal stools all that day. At night, half the night up again...

I try to eat (I am diabetic and MUST eat regularly) and simply can't. I feel like I have JUST eaten a big meal. I force myself to eat something, and then am in pain for hours, and am SURE to be up half the night again.

I just want this to be all over with.

Thanks for listening ladies....

Maggie

PET

Hi Maggie
Has anyone suggested you get a PET scan. Positron Emission Tomography. This is the newest test in the battle to find cancer. It can find cancer in minute size compared to CT & MRI imaging. Hopefully it is not cancer at all.

Hope you feel better soon. RobinS

Ok, now I am scared

(((((Maggie)))))))
I am so sorry you have had these troubles since your surgery. I read your last post here last night and I was racking my brain trying to think of a condition that I had heard someone talking about when I was in the hospital the last time with complications from my chemo....and it finally hit me this morning!
Have they tested you for Crones (sp) Maggie? I think thats the name of it...I know its bowel related, and alot of your symptoms sound like what people suffering with that go through.
I am sure they probably did check for that where they checked for IBS etc.
Well I surely do hope that they find the problem, and that it is not serious. I will be praying extra hard for you dear lady!!
Big hugs to you!!
Maria

Ok, now I am scared

MAGGIE,
ARE YOU TAKING ANY NEW MEDICATIONS??

HOW ABOUT INSULIN, PILLS, ANY NEW MEDS?

DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, BAD TENSION?

ANY ONE OF THESE COULD DO AWFUL THINGS TO
YOUR BODY.

I DO HOPE THEY FIND OUT SOON. I ALSO HOPE THEY WILL FIND NOTHING SERIOUS. WHATEVER IT IS, THEY WILL FIND IT.
AS I POSTED BEFORE IT'S PROBABLY SOMETHING STUPID,
THAT'S CAUSING ALL THIS.
