Kim,

You are so encouraging and such a gift to this site! Thank you so much for your maturity, wisdom and guidance. I find myself in new territory these days and it helps so much to talk to people who have already traveled this road.
Thank you again and Take care!

It does my good to share what I have learned thru this journey. I know the panic and frustration of the emotional and other upheavals as our bodies go thru so many changes.

Take care, get some and most of all know that there is at the end of the

Re: 4 weeks post op - feeling overwhelmed - does this end?

I am 3.5 weeks post-op and I started having symptoms of menopause about 1 week ago. I started experiencing anxiety over nothing, anger, headaches, insomnia, mood swings, happy one minute and crying over nothing the next minute, night sweats, hot flashes and cold flashes. Most of this was very new to me and very scary. After 5 days of suffering I called my Dr. and he put me on Estrodial 1mg if it does not work within a week we are trying 2mg. I am hopefull this will work for me. I have been so debilitated before the surgery that I am so looking forward to having a my life back. I hope this helps someone if nothing else to know you are not alone.

Re: 4 weeks post op - feeling overwhelmed - does this end?

Wow, purple and paxton, that's EXACTLY how I'm feeling. Can't figure it out, since I still have my ovaries and my bloodwork recently showed that I wasn't in menopause yet. I've never had depression or anxiety, but now I cry at the drop of a hat, I'm sad, can barely eat, can't sleep (even on Ambien!!)..... Glad to hear I'm not alone, but my days/nights are sooooooooooooo long lately.
