shave legs and cut toenails!!

My son was trimming his toenails last night, and it dawned on me that I should probably do that before my surgery because Im not gonna wanna bend in that position after my surgery for a little while!! Also, Im shaving my legs the morning of surgery, I don't work outside of the house so in the winter I only shave for dr. appt's and if I need to dress up!

Just wanted to share. I only have one week from today, next Friday at this time I should be sleeping away!!!

shave legs and cut toenails!!

Several people have mentioned being extremely careful shaving before surgery. I know some mean the pubic area, but I also got the impression from others to be careful about shaving your legs. I guess there is a concern about giving bacteria any avenue into your body, lessening the chance of infection.

shave legs and cut toenails!!

That is a great idea! I shaved and had a pedicure day before surgery. I wanted to have pretty toes.

Wishing you a smooth surgery and speedy recovery.

shave legs and cut toenails!!

I too had a pedicure a few days before surgery and shaved my legs the morning of. That was one of the more tricky things to try to do after coming home. If you have an electric razor, that would be easier. I had to stand up in the bath tub and have my hubby shave mine. Now that was a real experience! Bending even slightly isnt too easy the first few weeks! But then again, you arent going anywhere so if you get a little hairy who cares!

Pedicure

I plan to have a pedicure done the day before too. I wasn't sure if I could put a color polish on or if I had to go with a clear. If I remember correctly, they make you take off your polish if you have it on. Anyway, I will probably ask my dd to shave my legs because I don't think my dh would know how to do it. I may even try those over the counter creams to make it easier. If they work that is.

We will be thinking and praying for you next Friday. Please let us know how you did.

shave legs and cut toenails!!

Hi Ladies,

I did all my trimming and shaving the day before. It really is difficult to get anywhere near your toes in the beginning. I had to have my hubby tie my sneaks for me. Hope you ladies do well.
God Bless,
Sue
