Things to look forward too.

No more butt cheek squeezing runs to the bathroom so I don't leak down my legs. No more kids opening drawers and hearing eww gross mom coming out of the bathroom. No more eye rolling from the husband when we have to go down that isle in the grocery store. To many more to list. All the scary things that I have thought about are paling in comparison with all the good things

Re: Things to look forward too.

No more making sure I have packed enough super-dooper tampons for the day! I went through 3 boxes of tampons each month- 1 regular, 1 super, and 1 super plus. Mostly, I used the super plus!

Re: Things to look forward too.

I love, love this thread! It makes me feel like I'm not alone. I can relate to most of this list. I'm looking forward to no more periods when planning a vacation. I swear my period would start as soon as we hit the air. I use to think it must the gravity from the airplane taking off. I'm also looking forward to no more drinking apple cider vinegar and molasses to help lighten my period somewhat and another thing I look forward to is hopefully being able to fit my clothes again and not looking like I'm 7 months pregnant. So many people come up and ask so when are you due???

Re: Things to look forward too.

The weird thing for me now is that I really don't even think about it at all. I never think about buying pads or counting days on the calendar at all. I wouldn'tve wished my journey on anyone, but I'm really happy without my uterus. It gave me nothing positive at all. Ever. Good riddance!

Things to look forward too.

I thought of another one. I bought a new purse yesterday and was looking for the little inside zipper pocket and thought I won't need that to hide my pads and plugs anymore. Lol

Re: Things to look forward too.

Oh! No more having to take my purse to the bathroom and getting those "looks" from people who now know you have your period.

Oh and no more having to go to the bathroom twice because you went without the bag the first time and had to run back to get it the second.

No more praying the bathroom has a garbage in the stall so you don't have to sneak out and drop it in another garbage.

No more dripping blood on the seat, the floor...the white throw rug in the bathroom at home.

Being able to horse back ride without worry or discomfort!

No more trying to not sneeze, or cough to loud cause you know you may soak the pad and leak.

Re: Things to look forward too.

For me I am looking forward to is pain-free Zumba! I miss it so much, but right now it just hurts too much with my cysts on my left side. Maybe now I can get serious about teaching Zumba too after recovery of course.

Re: Things to look forward too.

Yes! No more going on vacation with entire boxes of super plus tampons, unopened, and another box of pads, while poor hubby says, "really"? Seriously I've never been on a vacation without my "ensemble". It still hasn't sunk in that this is possible! And I don't have to joke about buying stock in Tampax anymore
