What are you looking forward to post-op?

One week to surgery and I'm trying to stay both in the moment and looking forward to after the initial recovery period.

Here's a partial list of what I'm looking forward to in no particular order:

Not seeing my life's blood literally going down the toilet
Wearing panties without a pad
No pads around in every thing I carry
No scheduling my life around my period.
Not having to pop NSAIDs 2 out of 3 weeks.
Taking QiGong (Chinese exercise) classes again
Trying Zumba
Going to Disney World
Going to High school and College reunions (30 and 25 yrs respectively)
My son's birthday party (wearing a grass skirt on his request)
Going back to the job I love
Having energy to get out of the house and to cook for myself again.

What about you all, What are you looking forward to?

Re: What are you looking forward to post-op?

White undies
Sex without worrying my prolapsed everything will get in the way and cause pain
Being able to do a lot of walking without serious back pain
Buh-bye to adenomyosis-caused bloating
Not having to have three different pants sizes for three different weeks of the month
No more never-ending periods
No more birth control pills
No more tampons that don't want to stay in
And, super embarassing - no more queefing in certain positions!

Re: What are you looking forward to post-op?

I know this isn't facebook but I'm hitting the "LOVE BUTTON" for this thread.

Ladeeda....I am laughin hysterically at your comnent about the 3 different pant sizes.

And Andrea, your comment about the mattress sized pads had me leak in my undies.

You ladies are too much! As for me, I'm looking forward to a FLAT BELLY, an increased energy level and feeling like a normal person 4 weeks out of the month vs. only 1 week.

Loving all the comments.

Looking forward to missing the daytime shows I've started to follow: The Chew, Dr. Oz, Who wants to be a Millionaire, Rachael Ray, Live with Kelly and Michael. Yikes there are so many.

This is what I'm looking forward to:
Pain free days
Play time with kids
Play time with hubby
No more HUGE pads
Going back to work
No more excuses of going places at that time of the month

Oh wow I guess the list could go on and on but I will stop there. I'm just plain looking forward to a hole new way of life!!
