Re: What are you looking forward to post-op?

So I haven't suffered in any of the ways so many of you have with heavy periods and pain, but here's is what I can't wait to wake up without:

-the sensation of my uterus rubbing in my vagina
-the panic that this sensation brings me!!
-the pulling and back ache on the inside which I visualize as a knot of strings tangled up and pulling on all my parts in scary ways
-no sex in way too long thanks so all my parts being RIGHT THERE and looking like an alien coming out

I will wake up fresh and new and ready to be me again, sans Aunt Flo, thank goodness, and maybe, just maybe, with fewer migraines to boot!

Re: What are you looking forward to post-op?

Today is my nephew's birthday. I missed him blow out the candles on his cake because I was in the bathroom so long cleaning up all the blood from the floor and toilet (I was wearing super tampon and super pad and just changed it 1 hour prior).

I am having my last period before surgery. It makes me wonder why I ever doubted having the surgery.

So I want to add to my list:

*No more missing the candles getting blown out at birthday parties

and

*No more feeling like I'm fine, and wondering why I need this surgery, only to be smacked in the face with why!

And, super embarassing - no more queefing in certain positions!

Is this true!? The queefing?? Haha! That would be AWESOME! I avoid those positions for that reason.

What are you looking forward to post-op?

I can't find my old post and wanted to add some positive vibes here.

After the initial post-op, what are you looking forward to?

I'm still looking forward to:

A new bed that won't get messed up from gushers.
No more crime scenes bathroom scenes.
Being able to get up without worrying about leaks
White pants and light shorts.
No more diaper sized pads
Having the energy to play with my son.
Not missing work because of labor strength menstrual cramps and heavy bleeding.
Being able to keep the blood that my body is making.
Not having to tak huge amounts of iron, black stools and constipation.

Add your own.

It does get better, Have faith.

Re: What are you looking forward to post-op?

I'm looking forward to a summer filled with fun! Wearing what I want, when I want. Not wearing mattress sized pads, only to go through it in a couple hours. Not having to plan time with my hubby around mother nature and her unexpected visits. Feeling better and being able to exercise again. I could go on and on. I am ready to live again and be a normal thirty-something! Best of luck in recovery ladies, I'm hoping the next two weeks fly by, I am ready!

Im looking forward to having energy again, working out again.
Im looking forward to not having to wear a tampon and a pad, and still having a blowout just as I get to work.
Im looking forward to not wearing a pad, or pantiliner every single day.
