Missc....if I had a dollar for everytime someone said "you can't take that many at once" I feel like a druggie...hiding to pop my pills without scrutiny! LOL!

Re: Things to look forward too.

Yah yah! I've heard it too! I can't imagine life without this "normal" feeling I feel like a wimp most days of course I hide it but seriously some women here say they never imagined how good they feel after or how high their tolerance actually was ... I pray to be one of them!

1. No more painful periods!
2. No more PMS (my husband will be so relieved LOL)
3. No more birth control pills, condoms, patches, IUDs.
4. You can swim ANY time of the month without having to worry about a "sally speaks' pull string.
5. You can wear white pants/shorts/skirts/dresses without fear!
6. You can swim in the ocean without worrying about shark attacks!
7. No More Maxi Pads! (those darn things can get pricey)
8. Thongs all year around! (okay, I hate thongs, but I figure some women may like them.)
9. In the words of my mom "Hot flashes keep you warm in the winter!"
10. No more period Bloat.
11. No having to find the nearest bathroom everywhere you go.
12. No more paranoia about pads leaking.
13. No more worrying about ruining nice panties. (Which means we can get rid of all our ugly period panties!)
14. Whats Midol?
15. Instant weight loss! (how much does a Uterus weigh?)

Humm...thats all I can think of right now. Feel free to add on!

Re: Things to look forward too.

Such a brilliant post.

I have to add, no more panicking about bending down to work with dogs (yes, Im a dog trainer) and then bleeding though everything!! Rushing out in the middle of a dog class to 'change' with a ...oops sorry, something in my eye... line.. and NO more dogs noses where they shouldnt be coz they can smell something...

No more cancelling dentist appointments because there is no way I can sit in the chair for more than 20 mins (with several pads on) without a leak or two.. soooo embarressing..

No more not being able to watch my daughter play sport, because, Im leaking, feeling weak, or tearful... A month off due on or actually on..

No more taking to bed with a hot water bottle...

No more changing sheets, pjs etc in the middle of the night..

ooo such a good post CC... you and me on the same day too

Love to you all xoxo

Same here Debbie. For the last few years, it didn't matter when I scheduled a wonderful vacation, I always have my period. Either it starts early, or lasts extra long, it's like it knows how much I didn't want it to be around. Or, such debilitating cramps that the last thing I wanted to do was walk for miles while sightseeing!!!

Vegas - 2007 period started 1 week early
Vegas - 2008 - period lasted 1 week longer
South Dakota 2009 - Period started on vacation
New York 2010 - period ended but had spotting and cramps
Wash DC 2011 - Walked all the monuments and the whole "mall" with cramps that shot down my legs and a backache.
Christmas Cabin Rental 2011 - Period which was real fun to deal with during snowmobiling.

Sad that is how I remember my vacations!!! Can't wait for the first vacation that doesn't require planning!!!

I agree as well. I save vacation time for the summer to go to the beach and then same thing. This year I had three period in two months then had my first Lupron shot and still got it. They think because it had already started and it was worse then the others.

Re: Things to look forward too.

No more going somewhere only to find you dont have protection so you have to wad up toilet paper, or napkins etc to try and stave it off while you either run home, or search for somewhere to get some.
