Re: Things to look forward too.

Ladies there's so much to look forward to. In my case i had surgery in June to remove submucosal Fibroids but it was not sucessfull and just this past Wednesday on the 24th i had a TLH, cervix included. My period never ended till now. I was always in pain and bleeding. Had to miss 2 1/2 months of work total this year PRIOR to my TLH. It was Just horrible!!! Anemic due to blood loss, weak, headaches......all gone. Be strong, we'll be waiting for your post-op posts :-)

No more having to sit on a towel everywhere I go just in case I start to gush.

Re: Things to look forward too.

Being post-op I'm starting to realize some of the things I'm looking forward to and experiencing.
1. Buying panty liners instead of full sized pads
2. Not wearing pads
3. NO PMDD
4. Feeling like myself vs some other beast 3/4 of the time.
5. Experimenting with the new and improved vagina. (I hate using the word cuff so have decided I'm not calling it a cuff if is what is is.)

Re: Things to look forward too.

I related to each and every one of these!!! I love this site... such a comfort to know we are not alone in this although it sure feels like it sometimes!! Dec 3rd can't get here soon enough! Let's face it...to sum up everyone's post... I am looking forward to just feeling "normal" again - not anyone else's "normal" but the normal I wish I felt now!! God bless all of you!!

Or, such debilitating cramps that the last thing I wanted to do was walk for miles while sightseeing!!!

Vegas - 2007 period started 1 week early
Vegas - 2008 - period lasted 1 week longer
South Dakota 2009 - Period started on vacation
New York 2010 - period ended but had spotting and cramps
Wash DC 2011 - Walked all the monuments and the whole "mall" with cramps that shot down my legs and a backache.
Christmas Cabin Rental 2011 - Period which was real fun to deal with during snowmobiling.

Sad that is how I remember my vacations!!! Can't wait for the first vacation that doesn't require planning!!!
I have to add to my post earlier....No more fighting with my husband about not being able to have sex on our vacation because, according to him, I always "planned to be on my period" when we were on vacation! HA!!! He, now, of course, realizes his error in thinking now that I have a real medical diagnosis for my problem!

Of course we plan it ... because pain and hemorrhaging always enhances the vacation experience for us! Sometimes men are just stupid and we should throw rocks at them! LOL
