I am looking forward to not sleeping on a towel several days a month.

I am looking forward to using much less toilet paper.

I am looking forward to having sex whenever I want and not having to argue with my husband about wearing a condom, or not being able to because I'm bleeding or spotting.

I am looking forward to being able to sleep through the night every single night. And not worrying about whether I'm going to leave a blood trail to the bathroom if I slept longer than 2or 3 hours in a row during my period.
I'm looking forward to just about everything on the list that has been created. I'm really hoping that I will get my sex drive back because I hate telling DH "no" cause I'm in pain, bleeding, or both.

Re: Things to look forward too.

I personally enjoy watching my coworkers moan and groan about their periods, Pms, bloating and I'm like, "oh yeah, I don't have to think about that anymore!

Re: Things to look forward too.

Looking forward: to never having to crawl from my bedroom to the bathroom at 3 in the morning to sit in a tub of hot water because my cramps are so bad I can't stand up right. To never having to spend another night curled up in tears because no amount of pain meds will take the pain away. To never having to explain to my kids the cancer treatment plan. I had my total hyster on Oct 16, dvH, after sever pain for years that could not be controlled with any amount of pain meds. Then in Aug of year a second pap came back positive for cancer cells. Thank you for this thread. Tonight I am in pain and having a hard time. This was exactly what I needed to remind me of where I am going and what I looking forward to.

Re: Things to look forward too.

Well I say some of these things matter, I didn't have a choice about my surgery and it was a big decision it's shouldn't be taken lightly its huge. There is lots of pain and a long slow recovery...
