Numbness Tingling

I had my Tah/Bso 3 weeks ago relatively doing well, but I have had in the last 3 days some strange burning pain and a tingling feeling like wgen your hand goes to sleep feeling. Maybe Ive been doing to much and my inner incisions are pulled or maybe its natural the anesthia is wearing off and swelling going down. I dont know Im just sore as hell

Re: Numbness Tingling

It sounds like the nerves are regenerating and that is what is causing your discomfort. Try using an ice pack and see if that helps.

Re: Numbness Tingling

Hey there. I felt that way on one side of my pelvic area - very "hot" burning numbness weeks 3-6. My doctor told me it was the nerves and blood vessels redirecting themselves and healing internally. She told me this is why it's so important to walk every day and allow for healthy blood flow. (i.e. - laying on the couch is not the only recovery!) But she also explained that what's occurring is why we cannot exercise beyond walking. We need to give our bodies time to redirect the flow without raising our heart rates too much.

I hope this helps. I certainly think you should call your doctor if you are at all concerned. That's what they are there for!

Good luck. -L
