I'm home too!

Hey girls I got home last night (friday) Had to stay in hospital 3 nights as my surgery was fairly extensive and the incision big --way big. But the cancer was confined to my uterous which is great. The path reports came back showing everything clear. The cancer did begin to infiltrate the uterine wall so as "insurance" my Dr strongly suggests radiation therapy. So I will start that in maybe 3 weeks.
Then hopefully I will never see any more cancer. In the meantime, my fear of no hormones was a real one. My tumor fed on estrogen and progesterine. I'll be spending some time over at the hormone desert getting some helpful hints I guess.
I'll stop in at chat sometime. Glad to see my other 1-29 sisters are home and healing. Be well!

Hi Susan! Oh, I'm so glad the cancer was confined to the uterus! Sounds like you have a great doctor who is being extra cautious. You seem to be doing well...now, continue to !

I'm home too!

Welcome home Susan!!
So glad all went well and the cancer was confined to the uterus!
We have had a lot of ladies go through radiation over on the Cancer Concern forum, so they will be a great support as you go through your treatments, and I am sure the ladies over on the No Hormone Desert, will be a great help to you as well. We are all here for ya Susan!!
Again, so glad you are home!! Get lots of rest, and let the pampering begin!!
Hugs
