Passing time during recovery?

I am 10 days post and except for the newspaper have not been able to concentrate to read anything, nor have I had the desire to and I am an avid reader. I have had no problem laying on the couch doing nothing. I feel pretty good, but when I do anything I need a nap. So far I have no urges to go for a ride in the car or to wal-mart. I have some cross stitch projects but I don't have the concentration to work on them yet. One of the nurses in the hosp told me she doesn't really care for tv, but there are times when it comes in handy, and recovering from surgery is one of those times! I know in the weeks to come that I'll be needing something to stay occupied but for now I am very happy to nap, watch tv, and talk on the phone.
