pain on far right side of pelvis still at 5 weeks post op possibly from jp drain, may

I am 5 wks post op today and have felt that the area on the far right of my pelvis where my jp drain was removed has been far more painful than my vertical incision on my abdomen. At my 2 week check up I asked the nurse to look at it and she said it looked ok but was just bruised. Is this normal? It does seem that this drain was put into the scar line from my previous two c-sections and I have wondered if there is a relation there. I also feel like this is the exact area that hurts when I have over done it and need to rest. Today it has really hurt and feels like it has sort of a burning ache under the skin. This was also my second four hr day back at my desk sitting. I have taken a left over Lortab and have had the heating pad on it all evening. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? I see my surgeon next week but am wondering if I should call tomorrow.

Re: pain on far right side of pelvis still at 5 weeks post op possibly from jp drain,

lelliott,
I'm sorry you haven't had a reply to your post yet. How have you been feeling? Have you seen your doctor yet? I'm hoping s/he had some advice that was helpful for you. I didn't have an open incision in my surgery, so I don't have any information that may be helpful for you. Please post and let us know how you are doing now.
