Barber Blue's

I will be having TAH on Valentine's Day.I am glad to be getting this over with because I look and feel as if I could give birth at anytime and my lower back aches all the time.I am nerves and dont really know to expect. My bladder has fallen and needs to be lifted(forgot what he called this) and I have f/tumors.This seems to run in my family. My Dr. tells me that if I feel like it most likely I will be able to go back to work in two/three weeks.I'm a Barber.I lift nothing of weight but I stand on my feet all day.Are there any hairdressers or barbers out there that might have any help for me? Also I am wondering what I should take as sleep wear.I shudder at this thought of hospital gowns!I'm just a wreck! I'm in a mans world all day and this sight is so wonderful to come home to.I have just moved to Oklahoma from Texas and have no girl friends here, just guys and believe me they or NO help!I have a wonderful husband and a 16 year old daughter that is great support for me but she ofcourse knows nothing about this stuff.Am I going to be okay??? I feel a panic attack coming on!! Guess I just need girl friends.

YOu have come to the right place sweety!

You will have all the girl friends you want here. There is someone on here at all times 24/7. You need to keep reading and find out all you can before your big day. You will learn what questions to ask the DR and what to expect. Each person is different but we all go through several of the same things. I am a hairdresser, but haven't worked at that in 20 years. Standing on your feet is one of the no no! I say 4-6 weeks but maybe you can start back part time or a few hours every other day. I know how hard it is to leave customers for that long. But you must be off at least 3 weeks before doing any of that standing. YOu are going to have a lot of stitches inside and those have to heal also. You may feel good but you aren't done inside. You can get adhesions and hernias etc. from doing things too fast. Don't mean to scare you but just a few things to think about when you are recovering. God Bless and come back and talk to us "Girlfriend".
