Prayers are answered

Hello all, new here and so thankful that a lovely lady on another site recommended I visit here. I have been suffering for YEARS with all sorts of aches, pains, previously heavy periods, hormonal weirds, and back, hip, leg, and abdominal and pelvic and internal pelvic pain. For YEARS have made the round of gyno, neurologist, speciallist, sonograms, and lots of "in your head" diagnoisis. Was told was sleep deprived, creatively imaginary, too many symptoms, perfectly healthy psycho etc. Family thinking I am totally weird hyprochondriac etc. I was beginning to consider I was quackers. Few if any doctors, inc. my obgyn was willing to even CONSIDER the testing I was beginning to suspect was needed to get a diagnoisis or reason for the overall body and mind PAIN. Three years ago fell on butt and things really went downhill. No apparent injury, but the hurting from the waist down really increased. No medical help. Was on Depo shots for five years previous, partially for bc and partially for heavy bleeding after birth of girl number 4 at 41. No periods for five years, but weight gain and other (not warned about) menopausal symptoms drove me to take self off of it. I think the Depo CREATED a chemical menopause, but due to my age, and insurance restrictions put on doctors (penalized for diagnoisis) apparently NO one wanted to even admit I could have hormonal, uterine problems or any FEMALE problems. I am 47 now so even at 42 this is ASTOUNDING such was not even considered. I am ashamed we have medical goofs to this obvious degree. Women ought to be able to DEMAND the care and consideration they can READ about but not get. Too many suffering women, are being "stalled" for too long regarding these problems. Mental problems then surface, as everyone is telling us it is in our head. Scandalous!!! I have several questions and really don't know what forums to visit. I have been scheduled for a lap to search things out, and a D and C, now know have a stage 2 prolapse, toward the back, and much pain that is suspected as ovarian. Trouble with pouch, weight gain, bm an unirary problems. Life has been hell for the last three years, and quality of life is next to nil, I am ready to try anything. Clearly with four girls, age 22 to 6, done with childbearing. I have had several doctors "make light" of me, my symptoms, and my minimal tests, as if they have something to gain by IGNORING the obvious or by NOT helping me. It seems preferable to give me an anitdepressant, an anit imflammatory, and send me on my way. Now we are finally on the road to "discovery". My question is, From what I am reading NO tests can show totally all the various things that are going on inside me? Will the lap indicate what is going on in there, as I suspect NUMEROUS things are contributing to my pain, after reading other posts. Seems like some did not know "how bad" it was until AFTER surgery. Question two, is the G spot effected by the surgery? Does it matter what options you take as to this being preserved or left fully functional? Thanks and bless again. I feel I am home after a LONG painful journey to find you ladies.

Welcome Cricket

First find a DR that will listen and not judge before you are finished. They are out there it sounds as if it has been your misfortune to find all the ones who don't listen to what we are saying. Any of the sites here are great. the pre-op is the best because these ladies haven't had surgery yet and so get a lot of ohter lady experiences to kind of see what their surgery will be like. Every one is different so each person will have a different experience but a lot of the things are the same. So my advice is read and get to that DR that is going to be your savior. Ask friends about other DRs sometimes you can find a good one that way. AS for the G spot I can not tell any difference what so ever after my surgery. The only difference is that I don't have the pain and can once more enjoy sex again. Don't think surgery is anywhere near the G spot anyway as if I knew where it was I only know by touch. So hang in there and read a lot and let us know how you are doing every now and then with your progress. God bless.
