Only 2 more days!!!!!!!

Well it looks like I made it.

I had my last solid meal before my surgery Monday morning at 11:30am. Now I'm on all clear liquids and have to do the "go lightly" bowel cleansing tomorrow. It really feels like the clock is ticking now.

I have been dealing with this rather well and today it just really seemed to sink in - I'm having surgery because I may have cancer - It's like I knew, but kept putting that part out of my mind. Everybody keeps telling me that I'm fine and not to worry. I guess it's easy to do that when its not you.

You're not alone. I'm scheduled for a SAH on the 11th also. Surgery time is 9:30 a.m. I don't have to start the liquid diet along with the bowel prep until tomorrow afternoon. I don't know about you but I'm about to jump out of my skin. My dr. gave me something to help me sleep. Took the first one last night. These next two nights are going to be rough.

I hope everything checks out ok and that you come out of the surgery cancer-free. I'll be thinking of you on Monday. Wishing you well.

Hi Janet!!
Hang in there, not long to wait now!
I didn't have the "go lightly" but had something similiar as well as an enema and they worked well.

I wish you the very best with your surgery, and keep thinking positive thoughts!! They work wonders. Keeping you in my prayers that all reports come back clear Janet!! Looking forward to hearing from you when you are home and rested.

Now I must get back to polishing your crown Princess!!
Big hugs to you
Maria

Wishing the "janets", all the best for their surgeries, and may you each come out cancer-free.
Boy do I remember that prep.............."nasty", however, that is the worst part, once you get to the hospital, as I remember it, went pretty quick and the next thing I knew, I was in the recovery room, with a sponge in my mouth.

Good Luck!!!! We will be waiting to hear!

OH, JANET

OF COURSE YOUR SCARED, AND YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT
TO BE. IT'S YOU HAVING THE SURGERY NOT ANYONE ELSE.
I WAS SO SCARED , ALL THE WAY UP TO THE TIME I GOT
TO THE HOSPITAL. AFTER YOU GET THERE , IT'S REALLY
FAST. BEFORE YOU KNOW ANYTHING YOU'LL BE UP
AND IN RECOVERY DOING JUST FINE.
I KNOW IT'S TOUGH , BUT PLEASE TRY TO THINK POSITVE
THOUGHTS. YOU'LL BE FINE. I PROMISE.

JANET63,

YOU'LL BE JUST FINE. TAKE YOUR SLEEP AIDE AND DO GET THE REST YOU NEED.
BOY, THAT GO-LIGHT STUFF IS REALLY GOOD. YOU KNOW,
IT DOES'NT CRAMP YOU AT ALL AND IT DOES'NT KEEP YOU
UP ALL NIGHT EITHER.
SOON IT WILL BE OVER AND EVERYTHING WILL TURN
OUT GREAT.
