shock????
im going to post this on the hormone jungle too, but thought i would try here also,
today, i went out to a local dogsled race.
walked equivelent of maybe 2 blocks, and stood watching about half hour or so, all of a sudden, i started to get warm, dry mouth, then dizzy, naseous, and felt just odd thru my arms amnd legs,
felt faint. so i sat down, and about 5 minutes later, i felt ok, just very weak.
never had a hot flash yet, (take .625 premarin)
but, a friend said it sounds more like my body went into some sort of shock..
anyone else ever experience this??
it really freaked me out, i came home and layed down for 2 hours.
thanks, laverne

shock????
Hi Laverne!
It's hard to tell what happened to you - but when you mentioned shock, it reminded me of a time when this happened to me (sorta), too.
I had just had knee surgery (years ago) and I banged my knee into my desk really, really hard. I began to feel faint, nauseous, and dizzy. I was told I had gone into a degree of shock.
It might not be a bad idea to go to your DR so s/he can have a look at you - just to be on the safe side. I say this, because it could just as easily be hormonal - those hormones will play all kinds of tricks on us. But since you are still in recovery, maybe a call to the DR will put your mind at ease.
Best Wishes!
