shock???
today i got scared, been on my hormones since surgery jan. 16th
im not sure exactly what happened, and know little about hot flashes, if this is even what it was
today, i went out to a local dogsled race.
walked equivelent of maybe 2 blocks, and stood watching about half hour or so, all of a sudden, i started to get warm, dry mouth, then dizzy, naseous, and felt just odd thru my arms amnd legs,
felt faint. so i sat down, and about 5 minutes later, i felt ok, just very weak.
never had a hot flash yet, (take .625 premarin)
but, a friend said it sounds more like my body went into some sort of shock..
anyone else ever experience this??
it really freaked me out, i came home and layed down for 2 hours.
thanks, laverne

shock???
Laverne,
Since you are not quite one month post op, my vote would be that you overdid it a bit and your body was telling you so. To be on the safe side I would call your doctor and tell him what happened.
Take care

shock???
The only thing i can offer to you as comfort, is the first months after surgery i had all kinds of things happen to me. Looking back on it i guess it was the shock of the surgery and the hormonal chemical changes that were taking place.
One time i had to crawl to my bed on the floor cuz i was so dizzy and nauseous--my head was spinning. I felt like i had a electric beater in my brain. It was scary. Then another time, i was walking across the floor, started feeling nauseous my whole body felt tingling and odd glanced at the ceiling and fainted out cold for a few minutes. Scared dh to death. Anyway, those were the bad ones. I have also experienced buzzing and tingling all over. I could go on and on--I just never knew what to expect for a few months. And it has passed. Feel pretty normal now, i do think the dumping of all our stored hormones can really affect some of us in strange ways. So, i know what your talking about--it is scary, but i always got better. Hope it helps to know your not alone kiddo, and i never feel it anymore. Best of luck and hope it doesn't happen again--its just to wierd...
