4 days to go

Hi All:

It's early Sunday morning and I am obsessing. My LSH is scheduled for Wednesday 12pm..

My little one (5yrs old) is sick and she's weezing..I knew this would happen.

She has a head cold, it's not keeping her up at night, but she was croupy two nights ago, she's on Flovent daily (she has asthma) and now I have had to add Albuteral..

If she was running a fever I would take her to the dr's, but she doesn't and hasn't so far.

Why do I have this feeling I will be taking her to the dr's Wednesday morning, and the other problem is, I am not sure my m-i-l is comfortable taking care of her when she has to use her nebulizer..and can I leave her when she is weezing with someone that isn't comfortable with giving her her treatments.

I am supposed to be in the hospital over night..not sure I am comfortable with leaving her now..

I have today and through Tuesday I quess to decided..hopefully she will get better instead of worse.

This is such a bummer..

Hi Anna!

I am wondering if it would help if you start NOW with your MIL, sort of 'training' her to help care for your little one? This way she may have a higher comfort level when you are away.

Hopefully your child is not contagious; if you were to catch a bug, it could keep an anesthesiologist from agreeing to proceed with your surgery.

Best wishes - I hope everything works out for you.

Yes, I've done that

Yes, my m-i-l is already trained to give my daughter her neb's.
But I know she's still not comfortable with it.

Me, my husband and my older daughter were treated for sinus infections two weeks ago..I will be ok..she most likely got it from us.
