Surgery Postponed By Hospital

Well I had my pre-op appointment with my doctor this evening and he gave me some little upsetting news. Surgery posted by the hospital. It was supoose to be the 15th they moved it to the 18th. I know that is only three days. But right now it seems like forever. I was all set tomorrow was going to be last day of work then Friday the hospital. Now I have the whole weekend to wait.
I really sound like a baby, whinning like this. But in my mind it was all set. And on top of that my daughter was coming home from school tomorrow night to be here with her dad during my surgery. Now she is all upset because she can't be here Monday, and I can hardly handle my emotions right now so it is impossible to deal with her's. Oh well thats enough of my blubbering, thanks for listening.

Surgery Postponed By Hospital

Of course you are upset!! It is very tough to have to wait, especially when you are psyched up for it now.

Heh ... I had my ultrasound yesterday, and I could tell by the tech's face that she was seeing something. So I asked and she said that there was something on my right ovary, but she wouldn't tell me what it was. She said the doctor would have to tell me, and oh by the way, she might have to run off and go to the hospital and if she did, I wouldn't hear for another day or two ...

As a veterinarian I know that staff members leave really bad news up to us docs, so of course I'm lying there sweating it out. Then she leaves me on the table, in case the doc wants to come in and see a live scan, so I'm lying there in the AC with a sheet on for 15-20 minutes ...

And this freaked me out, so I know how bad you must feel with surgery being postponed!!!

It's scary being cut on ...
