pre-op

my conversation with my MD took place over the phone rather than in the office b/c he was on call FRi and Sun and makes lots of calls if he has free time, and is less rushed(he is about to go on vacation) well it was the highlight of my week --we spoke for over 40 minutes, and he answered all of my questions, - laughed when I said I was taking ½ of a .5 valium every other day or so, and in the middle of the night so as to sleep

Somehow he told me to call and schedule my pre-op blood work etc, and to request a private room on his say so – the nice think was that not only did people remember me from 4 years ago (worked there 12 years as the oncology/dialysis social worker) they actually recognized my voice on the phone. Very reassuring, and I need all that I can get.

Short term memory is shot – lost my glasses for ½ hour yesterday morning and thought I would have a total nervous breakdown (can’t see without them) –finally fond them on the floor under one of the paper plates I had used to heat up the wrap I used for my carpal tunnel hand – the cramps were like a #7 and I didn’t know what to do with myself – the The only good thing about this whole week, was my talk on Sunday with my MD and he answered all of my questions, - laughed when I said I was taking ½ of a .5 valium every other day or so, and in the middle of the night so as to sleep

Mine Too.....

I had my surgery on 1/8 & my short term memory is still a little on the shaky side.

It's very frustrating for me because I never had this problem until me endo. started getting really bad.

I just wanted you to know that you are not alone.
