Herbal therapy

Hello, Has anyone tried any herbal supplements inplace of conventional medicine? I was just wondering what would be good to take and if it is as effective on hot flashes, mood swings, etc. I have use herbal remedies for other problems and illnesses but have not tried it for this. Any and all input and opinions are welcome. Thanks to all of you sisters that respond. Pam.

Herbal therapy

While there are some herbs and vitamins that you can take that will help with some of the symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes and mood swings, they do not replace estrogen. Black cohosh can help with hot flashes and red clover can help with mood swings. You can read more about them at www.hormonejungle.com However, they do not replace the benefits of estrogen.

Hi Pamela, In addition to the info that Kim provided, here is a thread that was Trish posted in the No hormone dessert https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...threadid=50901

If you are concerned about synthetics there are many HRT options that are natural and bio-identical (like what your body made). You can also read about them on the hormone jungle link Kim gave you.
