Re: Teallys Tourtured Tuppys

So glad I found you gals again.

I rode my horse yesterday!!! I did the numbing gel and took extra strength Advil and took a deep breath and climbed up.

Only rode for 10 min or so and very gently... but it's a step towards getting back to normal - which is what dr wants me to to do.

It was a beautiful day here yesterday too - but windy. I was outside for 3 hours and got a little sun on my face. It felt good. Another sunny day today but I'm working 10-2. Hopefully will get outside after work.

Re: Teallys Tourtured Tuppys

Strongone I am so glad you got to ride your horse again. Sounds like you did just fine, for your first time back in the saddle. Do you ride English or Western? I was secretary for the local horse club for years, we did mostly trail riding, had big campouts with our horses in the sierra mountains, lots of fun. I had a nice Appaloosa mare, she was a piebald sorrel and was out of really famous horse named "Goer" she was calm, and didn't mind even crossing suspension bridges that swung beneath her feet, I loved her, miss her very much sometimes.
Happy for you, good to do something you love.

You're not old Flame!

Sounds fantastic though. Camping with horses in the mountains ( putting aside the fact that I'm scared of horses and spiders). My daughter would love it. She rides and is far more gutsy than I am. X

Re: Teallys Tourtured Tuppys

Hi Janine how's you doing today pet?
Ladies, I'm at the stage where I don't know what to do to be right, know what I mean? I feel really well but still am not sure what I am allowed to do. I won't see my surgeon until end of April and I have so much to ask! I honestly never thought in my life that i would be wondering if i could iron, mop floors, hoover etc. my goodness when i was knocked out they must have hypnotised me into being houseproud! or is it that i am sitting around more now so i can see more things to do? My OH says to just take my glasses off and i wont notice as much!!!!!!
Ah well. It's odd having to watch what we put on the different threads now isn't it? Really confusing too. I feel the comradeship and friendships we have made have been disturbed. Maybe I'm paranoid but I don't like the thought of every word I type being dissected. Or maybe I'm just having an off day.
