Qestions... uterine/endo cancer, D&C?

As I posted earlier, though didn't get much response from, I finally got an uterine biopsy. Will get the results in two weeks.. what I am wondering is this, is a d & c more definitive, I mean will it give me a more absolute answer to if there is cancer. I have been dx'd with adeno and fibroids from an MRI and transvaginal ultrasound and bloodwork. when gyn wanted to put off hysterectomy a few months I asked how he knew it wasn't cancer and he thought he had already done a biopsy... I started seeing him about this in sept. But I've had pain for a couple of years and it was just too much for me in sept. I haven't had any really bad bleeding, and my period is always on time.
oh one more question.. sorry its almost 4 in the morning and i haven't had any sleep yet.... gee wonder why....
is endometrial cancer the same as uterine? and if anyone was diagnoised with these cancers what were your symptoms like???
thanks for any info....

Qestions... uterine/endo cancer, D&C?

Hi Karah,
Sorry to hear you are having such a time. I had a D&C six weeks prior to my hyst. This was done at the same time as a lap due to an abnormal "calcium wall" on my uterus. The D&C was not for diagnostic purposes in my case, but to scrape out the polyps (wich were the mysterious "wall"). They did biopsy the polyps and they came back benign. During my hyst the Dr discovered some new polyps along with some missed during the D&C. So far, so good, no bad reports back from the lab. It sounds like your Dr is not communicating well with you. Even if it gets frustrating, keep asking those questions until you get an answer that is clear to you. I know changing Dr's is difficult, but perhaps you may want to get a second opinion, especially if you current Dr wants to postpone your hyst and not give you a clear reason. Also, speak to your Dr about your difficulty sleeping at night. It is so important to be able to rest. I hope everything goes well for you and will keep you in my prayers.
