Thumbs down - HANDS - Tingling, numbness, sore, sometimes pain HANDS - Tingling, numbness, sore, sometimes pain

I had surgurical menopause in the middle of January and the dr has suggest not using HRT at this time. My hot flashes and insomnia has been managable. At about the 6 weeks I started feeeling tingling, soreness and sometimes pain in my hands. Its driving me nuts. I find them quite sore when I wake up and then it is usually tingling/numbness off and on. Some days are better/worse than others and not sure if what I am doing is contributing one way or the other. The sore and aching muscles is probably my second bigger issue....I have been walking 5 days a week then taking 2 off as well as started yoga. Does anyone have things they are doing to help either of these sypmtoms?

SOunds like carpel tunnel I had them when I was pregnant. My Dr told me it would pass and if it didn't there was always surgery. Maybe call you family Dr see what he/she says.

Re: HANDS - Tingling, numbness, sore, sometimes pain

I am curious. Is it both hands? That would usually not be carpal tunnel but more like arthritis or pinched nerve. Is it just your hands or do you get pain elsewhere with the tingling, numbness, etc? I have fibromyalgia which started with hands but now involves my whole body. Hope you feel better

I get the numbness tingling in my hands sometimes. It seems to come and go. I have been tested for CTS, which I do have, but doc said it wasn't bad enough to warrant surgery. One thing he did tell me was to make sure I was taking 100mg of B6 daily. Also wore wrist splints at night when the symptoms got really bad.
