Surgery Again!!!!

I was just curious to know if anyone has undergone the surgery I am about to face. In 1993 I had a vaginal hysterectomy with a bladder suspension. Two years later I began having urinary incontinence again and have decided it's time for another go round! I also have a rectocele and a vaginal prolapse at the top of the vagina which is going to require a grafting procedure..then last but not least I am having a TVT done which positions the bladder and the urethra in place. I am pretty nervous about it all because this will be a 5-6 hour surgery and the recovery is 12 weeks with no heavy lifting. I would love to hear from anyone who has gone through this, I could really use the emotional support right now! Surgery is scheduled for April 18th,2002. Thanks for listening!

Surgery Again!!!!

Hi, Ronda,

I'm sorry to hear that you're looking at another surgery. I hope everything goes well for you.

You might want to post your question on The Road Less Traveled Forum, also. The ladies there have experience with complications which occur after the intial 6 to 8 week recovery period from a hysterectomy, and they're very caring.

Best wishes,

Surgery Again!!!!

Dear Ronda,

I'm so sorry to read that you are having to under-go additional surgery.

I thought you might like to have a link to the forum that Helen's post mentions (The Road Less Traveled).
