4 weeks post-op: still having trouble with BM

Hey all. 4 weeks post op tomorrow. Still havin trouble with bm. Can feel every little thing movin down . Took senna tabs yesterday and ended up with diahorrea. Went to bathroom at 6am and looked down to see bowl full of bright red blood. Freaked out and so did hubby. Went to doc first thing. Turned out to be a burst hemorrhoid. He sent stool sample to lab in case of bowel infection but didn't seem to be overly concerned. advised to do all usual things to avoid constipation. Do the surprises ever stop? So grateful to read all your stories. Keep the faith. We will get there! Xx

Re: 4 weeks post-op: still having trouble with BM

Hopefully it will get better.....I'm at 4 weeks tomorrow.....still having constipation but finally I'm not having too many hemorrhoid issues. I still seem to be getting bloated after eating....hoping once I get back to my normal activity it will improve. Any suggestions?

Re: 4 weeks post-op: still having trouble with BM

I am still having constipation issues and taking a lax. at least once a week. I just started passing gas a week ago for the first time and the bloating is still present at the end of the day.

I am so much better than I was at 3 weeks but really cannot wait to be 100%.
