Pain and Bleeding at 4 weeks post-op

By 2 weeks post-op, bleeding and pain had subsided drastically...(only yellowish and very light)...thought I was close to being done, 2 days ago I started having aching and pain down low on both sides...and today the bleeding, dark red and pink started in...with continual pain...have called doctor but haven't heard from him yet.

Pain and Bleeding at 4 weeks post-op

Hi rls, I'm glad to hear that you have a call in to the doctor. Make sure if they don't return your call, that you give them another call back. At 4 weeks the dark red bleeding doesn't sound right. Some light spotting I think can be a sign of internal stitches disolving, but I think I'd still want the doctor to know, especially if all other bleeding and spotting had stopped. Sometimes an increase in activity can cause some light pinkish or brownish spotting, but any bright red bleeding should be reported to the doctor's office. Let us know what you find out. Try taking it easy until you hear from them. If the bleeding is from over doing it, then resting extra will help. Take care.
