Have decided on a different course of action

Well ladies, i was just sitting here thinking (scary, huh? ) I was going to call my uro. about what we are going to do for a different pain med that hopefully wont make my headaches worse.
I think i am just going to call my GP about it & explain very thoroughly the whole thing & see if she thinks i need a pain clinic (as the uro.'s nurse crab suggested). My pelvic CT is scheduled for next fri. - another week & a half.
I am so scared that she wont want want to help me but then who knows? If she doesnt then i will be looking for another GP.
So cross your fingers for me!!

Good luck with the GP. When I first started on this Road my gp was wonderful. He helped me find some referrals, wrote me a prescrip for some pain meds, and was always there to listen to me

Collette, Gidge & Kim- Thanks for the replys!!! 's My GP's nurse just called back after 1:00 & said that the dr. wanted to know a little more info. She said that the dr. had already left for the day but that they would get with me in the morning about it. BTW- my GP's nurse is a real sweetheart ! I have a little more confidence now that something will get done. I will have the next two days off & will have the time to get something done - even if i have to keep calling them back.
Well, time to go to work now- thanks again to all of you!!

Have decided on a different course of action

I have good news for a change. My drs. nurse called earlier & said that she called in some vicodin. But that she wont call in anything else. Go figure? She also said i would need to ask my uro for any other meds i needed. Which doesnt make sense because the uro is about useless as far as that goes.
I am hurting right now - getting ready to go get my rx. I overdid things a bit today- some early spring cleaning & pruned my roses.
Also had something weird happen- i was sitting on the edge of my bed bending over to pick something up & i suddenly got an awful pain in the middle of my abdomen. It felt like there was a frog jumping around in there!! Dont know if i pulled a muscle or if it was an adhesion maybe. Any of you ever have this happen?

Collette: i would definitely try the GP - mine has helped me out a lot. Good luck!!

Thanks everyone for the 's !!!
