Questions about pain???

Lortab, which only works for 2 hours, Percocet, and Ibuprofin for 2 years of pelvic pain due to PCOS and adhesions. Hopefully this is the end of the pain meds for me.

Questions about pain???

No pain meds really helped my pain or migraines. The hyst has been a blessing. What I found worked more than anything for the migraines was applying ice or a bag of frozen peas. The bag of peas conform really well to any curved area that needs to be iced. Think about it...when you have a migraine, the blood vessels swell & cause pressure and ice helps to shrink them. In the car during the summer, I would blast the air conditioning to my face if I had a migraine while driving. Also, ice cream seemed to help too...cold working from the inside .

Another thing I learned about in nursing school that shrinks swelling (don't really works) is cabbage leaves. And when I worked OB/GYN, we actually kept them in the refrigerator for new mothers to use on their breasts for engorgement. Just use the leaves chilled and crack the veins in them to release their juice. Hope you all feel better.
