10 months post-op and having brown discharge... what does that mean??

Hi Sisters,

It has been a while since I have posted, I hope that everyone is doing well! I have been having a pretty good recovery except for adjusting my hormones and that is another story! But to the question, this morning I woke up and had a fairly large amount of brown discharge when I went to the bathroom. I am still spotting lightly.

I have called the and I am just waiting on the return call.

I am about 10 months post-op and for the last week I have been having pain on the right lower tummy like a tender sore feeling and now I seem to be having a heavy feeling... almost like I am getting ready to start a period...

Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a normal thing???

Thank you in advance!!!

10 months post-op and having brown discharge... what does that mean??

I am not having any problems or pain going to the bathroom.

The Dr's office called me this afternoon and I have an appointment at 10am tomorrow. I hope to get some answers from this appointment...

To answer you question, I had a Subtotal Lap Assisted Hysterectomy with BSO in May 2001.

Thanks for you reply and hugs!

10 months post-op and having brown discharge... what does that mean??

Well, I went to the Doctor today and he wants me to have an ultrasound and that is about all he had to say about it.
He didn't even have anything to say about my spotting.

I am also having foggy thinking and I can't seem to remember things... like if I am cooking and walk away, I forget that I am cooking... etc... so he has refered me to a neurologist... I think that he should just take my Hormone levels and start there first, but what do I know!!!

Has anyone else had this problem? If so what helped?

Thanks in advance!
