Clock's ticking!

Well, I have my surgery date now...April 2 at 12:30. I thought all the doctors were out doing lunch at that hour! So now I'm trying to get my house spring-cleaned, since my mother is coming to stay with the kids while I'm in the hospital. They're going to try and do a TVH; guess my uterus is small but all the work I did on my pelvic floor is working against me now! Anyway, they're going to try to do it vaginally, but I guess if they end up going abdominally that's not the end of the world. I feel like the first person to ask for a picture off my works, though! Dr. gave me a weird look when I asked. Well, anyway, just wanted to announce that at least the uncertainty part is over...now on to the housecleaning!
Also...why would I be having some fairly sharp pains on my right side now? Maybe my cervix is upset from all the diagnostic procedures it's been subjected to, and is protesting? Any input on this welcome...

Glad to hear you have your surgery date! It will be so wonderful for you to get those bad cells out so you don't have to worry about them anymore! Also glad to hear that you have your mother to help you out. It's not easy to take care of children when you are supposed to be taking care of yourself!

I don't know why you would be having right-sided pain. Are you ovulating? Maybe you have a cyst or something on an ovary. I had one once, and wow did it hurt! Then it ruptured and I never had any more trouble. It's probably a good idea to call your doctor and see what's up with that.

I'm so glad to hear you've gotten your date for surgery. I'm sure having your mom there with you will take alot of the stress and worry off of you.

I don't really know what that pain might be either but agree with Jeanine, if its bothering you give the Dr a jingle and see if maybe they might have some idea.

Ok, I probably should give the dr. a call...just hate to, they always have bad news for me when I call them. :P I am glad my mom is coming; just know she's going to give my house the white-glove inspection, so I spent the last week scrubbing out the fridge and freezer, cleaning the top of the fridge (no more fuzzies!!) sandblasting (hee hee) the wall behind the baby's high chair, pulling out the living room furniture and cleaning underneath...been a busy week!
Thanks again for your posts. I don't have any other friends who have gone through this, and while they've been kind they just can't quite relate. I so much appreciate you guys!
