Re: I wont miss

This is a fantastic thread! I love everyone's lists!

I won't miss:
The heavy periods and large clots. The pain and feeling sick and tired. Not knowing when it's going to start/stop. Having pads everywhere, just in case. Having the change of clothes. Running to the bathroom. Going to work, or pretty much anywhere, hoping nothing happens. Only being able to wear dark clothing, with oversized shirts, for extra coverage. Cleaning of the sheets and extra towels on the bed. All the ibuprophen. Buying all those pads!!! ( I never bothered with tampons)

And now I don't have those worries. Once I'm healed, I'm going to buy my first pair of white jeans, that I've always wanted. And no more missing work because of it as well

My life's been on hold a long time, and I'm taking my healing time to decide what I want to do. Like go back to school. Just not 100% sure what I want to take. But because I've spent so much time with doctor's appointments and in hospital this year, maybe I should look into health care?? LOL!!

Re: I wont miss

I won't miss all the things listed so far and most of all trying to explain to others why the pain and fear of looking like I was shot (gushing blood) could possibly keep me from doing things with them!!!

Re: I wont miss

I won't miss:
Wearing pads and tampons every day because my period never stopped.
Having to stay home & miss family functions & activities because I'm bleeding too heavy to leave the house.
Having to carry extra clothes with me every where I went because I never knew when I might suddenly gush blood all over myself.
Missing classes because I'm bleeding too heavy to leave the house.
Having excruciating back pain & cramps that kept me in bed most of the time.
The constant mood swings & crying at nothing because of having PMS all of the time.
I could go on & on....
This pain is temporary and it was worth it.

Re: I wont miss

I've been laughing at everyone's posts
I won't miss:
The humiliating 'post flood' dash out of the shopping centre (walking quickly whilst trying to 'casually' cover my backside with my handbag)

Not being able to go to the gym for seven days out of each month.

Re: I wont miss

I won't miss longing for the trips to the beach or pool but having to say no. Finally I will be able to enjoy swimming again!

And wearing white!

This was such a great idea, thank you for the thread suggestion!

Love this thread so I'm back...

I won't miss missing out out on Friday evenings with my dear friends ( yes, they would mostly turn up on Fridays !). And miss all those life moments I cherish...,

Re: I wont miss

I won't miss eight, nine day periods that started every 23 days. One week before pms pain mood swings depression. (I maybe had five normal days a month) I won't miss the murder scene in the bathroom. The fear when feeling clots come out. The super plus tampons plus pads. The constant bladder pains, uti's, rectum pain and hemmorids. The constipation. Painful sex. Panic attacks and dizziness. I won't miss my tumors even though my intestines are wondering where their rightful place is now.
They'll have to figure it out. I've left them no choice..
Ps: all you angels should wear white. You've earned it..:-)

Re: I wont miss

Love this thread!!!

I won't miss never knowing when I was going to start.. I've had cycles as short as 18 days and as long as 32.. Never knew when to prepare for it.

Keeping tampons/pads in everything I had with me. In my bag, car, truck, apron (I'm a waitress), etc.

The feeling my uterus was drop kicked at the beginning of every cycle.

My ramped mood swings.

The feeling of my ovary burning when I would have a cyst rupture.

Just to name a few.

Re: I wont miss

I never even thought about wearing white pants until some of you mentioned it. I had out of control, severe periods for the last 5 years; sometimes lasting up to 6 months at a time with only a few days off between cycles. I think I will also buy some white pants or shorts once I'm healed as a reminder that I will never have to go through all of that mess again.
Oh, and I had a sore bottom & irritated vagina all of the time from constantly wearing pads and tampons; it is already a blessing to no longer go through that.

Re: I wont miss

I won't miss the nausea I would get 2 weeks prior, the pressure and pain that felt like everything was going to fall
Out ! The acne, the bloating, cravings, night sweats and having to plan water activities around my cycle and yay white pants!!!! Lol
