Don't give up when you think it's never going to end...

I am 16 weeks post of daVinci total hysterectomy (kept my ovaries) and 14 weeks post op from emergency surgery to repair vaginal cuff and uterine artery that came uncauterized. After a very uneventful and routine hysterectomy, I was recovering with absolutely no pain from day one but still bleeding like a period. On day 13, the bottom dropped out and I had to be rushed by ambulance to the ER and they cauterized my cuff and sent me home. 3 days later, another massive hemorrhage in which I lost half my blood, another ambulance ride for an hour and a half because the weather was to inclimate for the helicopter, I had a second surgery to repair my vaginal cuff and they determined my uterine artery had come uncauterized. I nearly lost my life twice. Well, after a very long recovery and fast forward to 16 weeks.....
I feel so amazing!!! Sex is so wonderful! Exercising feels so good! I have lost 20 lbs and fit back into my regular clothes! I finally have my my life back but 100% better. No debilitating periods and I wear white all the time. Lol My pooched out belly is gone! My bikini looks great on my newly toned body. Thank you Jesus and God and all my sisters here for your support. My advice is to take it super easy, listen to everything your body says, follow your doctors orders, but if it doesn't feel right, then call them out on it!
I never thought I would be back to being ME. Life is great!!!

God bless you all and I pray for each and every one of you to have an easy and healthy recovery.

Hugs!

Wow! You had a few complications there! Really happy to read this...I had the same surgery the day after yours, and I feel amazing too! I still want to lose 15 lbs, but I'm not too worried about it. I am just thankful that my body is healthy with tons of energy, plus I've been wearing white all summer! Life is good.
