Moving Monday August 26

good morning all!

We had a good visit with my nephew and his 9 y.o. daughter. It was important for them to see the progress of dementia at this end, so we can all pull together and support each other.

Ate a little too much sugar and am now determined to only eat sugar on special family days. No more mindless candy at work. Period.

Not much formal exercise this weekend, but lots of moving around for me. I don't really stop when I am working with the family. We did take a couple of small but it was sunny and a little too hot for the family as well as the dogs. But this morning the temp was 55 degrees. Fall is around the corner, for sure.

This morning I made it to the gym and did 30 minutes on the total body cycle and 15 minutes pushing hard on the elliptical. Still wanting to mix up the exercises. at noon, and the Styrofoam "weights" give me a strength workout, at least on the arms. A couple of the moves are not unlike situps, so that's good.

B - 1/2 oz cheese, juice, 4 prunes
S - Nature Valley protein bar after exercise
L - kale salad, coleslaw, 1 hard boiled egg, and 1 oz cheddar cheese
S - smoothie of plain nf yogurt, water, mango juice and orange juice.
D - chicken, green beans, green salad

that I stick to my plan!

everyone, I hope you get the weather you need. I am so appalled by the fires in California, how very scary for everyone and all of nature. I hope they can get it under control soon.

Re: Moving Monday August 26

Hi Pals,
Is it Monday already? we had a good dinner with my parents last night. We sat on their porch and chatted until almost midnight. Mom wants to cook tonight so dinner is over there again. What nice weather we had last night it got down to 65 degrees! Loved it! The wind was blowing and it was nice and cool. I'm sooooo excited that fall is just around the corner. Leaves on my trees are started to turn a bit of yellow here and there. YAY! Well this am I'm doing laundry, and I need to mop the floors. It's still so nice out I think I may find some things to do outdoors as well. Desk, glad your visit with the fam was good. Yes, the fires in California are really scary. Fingers crossed they can get it under control very soon. Going to continue my daily workouts...dh and I are going to buy some bikes this week. We can exercise on them and plus we have beautiful country up here so we can enjoy the scenery too. I won't push myself but a nice pace for us will be great. Food for today...oatmeal, lunch will be a turkey sandwich with a pickle, if I'm hungry for a snack I'll have yogurt. Dinner is at my parents so not sure. But Mom has started cooking MUCH healthier too. She actually cut out wheat before I even mentioned to her that I did. As she has tummy issues too and hers has gotten much better too. Amazing huh? Well have a great start to the new week Pals!

Re: Moving Monday August 26

Gang!
Yep, it sure is Monday. Have had a booming headache much of the afternoon. We have a smell again in our new area! Started last week. Sigh... On the plus side, we are getting some rain

Had to change up my lunch as I forgot my salad dressing. So I just had some turkey tenderloin with some shredded cheese and turkey bacon bits over the top. Than I dropped half of it on the floor. Had some more cheese and bacon bits for a snack beings as I dropped my lunch, at least I didn't toss my cookies I think dinner will be a small bowl of black eyed peas. I will add some water so it will be more like black eyed pea soup.

Desk, Glad you had a good visit with nephew and his daughter. Wow on 55 degrees! Our temps here have been very mild today due to all the cloud cover.

Lisa, And wow on 65! That is unusual for Florida this time of year isn't it?
