Hi Birds!

Yes, gas is definitely a problem for many of us post-up. My Dr. had me take Gas-X with each meal, which seemed to help me. You may want to check with your Dr. to see if it's ok for you to take an anti-gas product.

Avoid gassy foods and carbonated beverages. And keep up with those frequent s as tolerated. Some ladies have reported that a heating pad worked for them, and others swear by laying on their left side.

I hope you get some relief soon!

Best wishes and s

Boy, do I know GAS

I've had irritable bowel syndrome for several years, so I've been through it all - "baby" pains (sometime I swear I feel a tiny little fist pushing up on my left side), cramps, as well as tests at the hospital always coming up negative! And I've tried it all - homeopathy, doctors, medication, meditation (calming the mind seems to help tremendously). I pretty much had a good handle on things. Even kept a diary of what foods caused the problems.

But it all went out the window. I'm almost 3 weeks post, and the gas is worse than right after surgery. I'm taking GasX regularly, and I'm trying to get back into my old steady regimen - Citrucel 1-2 times a day, chamomile tea (to calm the digestive system & me), walking after every meal, and even an ounce or two of liquid aloe. It's helping - but not fixing the problem.

From what I've read on this site, it's NORMAL?! So I guess it will "pass" eventually.

But from my personal experience, walking helps as well as calming your mind and trying not to focus on the gas.

Good luck to all of us "gassy girls" (my dh's loving pet name for me for years!)

gas gas gas

I see everyone talking about gas pains. I get them too. But, I am wondering where you get them. When I get it, it is right down in the bottom of my bowel, nearly in my rectum. I had severe endo and several years ago before my first surgery this type of pain was a daily thing for me. I did not have it again until my recent surgery. It is horribly painfull, often causing me to scream until it passes in just a few moments. My endo was once again concentrated on my bowel, so I am guess that I am overly tender in that area and it will improve with healing. I am starting to fear though that it is my HRT (Prempro) aggravating my endo.
