FUNNIES! What did YOU do today?!

I am 9 days post op and feeling more tired than I did the first week. I was diagnosed with Lupus and Fibromyalga 4 yrs ago and struggled with Lupus flare ups during monthly menses.Main reason for hysterectomy. At this point im not sure if im feeling lethargic due to the surgery or Lupus and Fibromyalga..Im really hoping to get some energy soon!

Re: What did YOU do today?

Ok ladies to give you an idea from someone nearly 9 weeks post op...

7am get up after hubby goes to work, let dogs out of kennels, feed goat, sheep and chooks.

9ish cup of tea, toast and Internet.

10ish housework.

1pm-3ish nana nap (yes even now at 9 wks post op I find this a necessity!!!!!!!!)

3ish start prepping dinner and have it ready for when hubby gets home at 6.45

7ish put dogs in kennels, feed goat, sheep, cows and chooks.

8ish shower (every day) then collapse into bed and zonk.

Funny story...the other day I helped a friend with garden safari and was outside, on the go from 8.30am to 4.30pm with no nana nap.

Got home, did my chores and was sitting on the bed chatting to my hubby when suddenly, in mid sentence, I slumped to the side. Hubby jumped out of bed and ran round to my side of the bed, thinking maybe I fainted or was seizing. He stopped freaking out when I let out a huge snore!!!!!! I had fallen sound asleep

I woke the next morning still in all my clothes on top of the covers.

So ladies fatigue may be your companion for many weeks to come

Re: What did YOU do today?

Gee, I feel like a total slouch reading what these women do in a day. My hubby will not let me get up to get a glass of water and my dog growled at me like he knows I'm supposed to be resting! I got up at 6:30 after moving to spare bedroom b/c of snoring bear. We discussed this and he said he would go to other room if he snores, but he has been doing everything for me. Had to pee anyway. Made coffee in Keurig ( pre-filled night before). Read paper, had breakfast, paid some bills online, got a pkg ready to be shipped and called friend to have her come get the pkg. friend brought lunch and had a nice visit with her, but I was tired and took a nap for an hour. Showered, fed and let growling dog out. Honestly I should have named him Velcro b/c he is stuck to my side! Made Christmas cards, shopped online and now waiting in hubby to fix dinner. Whew! Is it nap time again?

Re: What did YOU do today?

You are infinitely fortunate. I am jealous!! Lol... Most of us don't have that kind of attention at home! Enjoy it for us! Just make sure you walk around alot even if you don't DO stuff- it's important to recovery. Happy healing!! 😎

Re: What did YOU do today?

I'm laughing at naming the dog Velcro. I've been home 4 weeks. Potty trained our new one. Hubby is on vacation so we have been out the last 2 days & when we get home they give me the evil eye, like where have you been?
