Movies and pillows

Hello Sisters,
I just had to pass this along. I am a huge movie buff. I see everything that's up for the Oscar and then some. I just wanted to let you ladies know that if you love movies and can find someone to drive you its' ok to go. Just take some pillows with you. I took two. Yes , you get looks but who cares. Its so nice to get out of the house and do my favorite thing the movies. The pillow police can't get mad at you because you are taking pillows with you. I also took a small jacket because its so cold in our movies. I hope this helps you movie buffs out and gets some of you out. Don't forget the Oscars this Sunday! Oh and I also took a couple of Tylenol before I went just in case. Enjoy and see you at the movies. Love and Prayers Suzanne9

Hi Suzanne

I am ROFL, I can just picture it and was wondering how I was going to pull it off. You've inspired me, I'm going to the movies!!!

Were these bed pillows (even funnier) or cushions you used LOL

Thanks I needed that.

Pillows are nice to have but keep in mind that if you are unable to recline you could be sore from all the sitting in an upright position. Sitting is an activity and should be limited during the first weeks post op. There are ligaments that were cut to remove the uterus and these can often leave you sore if you sit to long. I couldn't sit for more than 1 hour at a time till after 6 weeks without being sore.

Since your a big movie buff.....what are the best movies out there as far as renting them goes????????? I kind of like the position of lying on the couch snuggling up with my boyfriend position.

I personally haven't had any trouble with the sitting position and actually it feels better than lying down sometimes. I've been doing a lot of reading my books in a big old comfy glider that I have.

I too was bored stiff....I'm almost 3 weeks post-op. DB/F wanted a dinner and a movie, I felt pretty good so we went to a chinese buffet. He filled my plate with things that I like . We got to the movie theater and while he was getting the tickets I was yawning something awful! LOL I had my pillow and his heavy coat. Got all comfy movie started, I felt fine.....BAM!! I fell asleep about 40 minutes into the movie! B/F thought I looked so cute, but couldn't believe I fell asleep it was so loud and cold. I think I will stick to renting movies for awhile, at least that way I can see what I missed without having to spend more money! LOL

The movies sound great, i was already considering it before i read your posts...i am encouraged. i really would like to see Beautiful Mind (how bout those Oscars!) the only problem, really is that i would need to drive myself. i am debating on whether or not to take that chance. i know most of you protective ones would say don't try it...but its only about 5 miles away. i can take backroads all the way...and i'm feeling just fine. If i am very careful......why not????
