Reading for awhile, finally decided to post

Glad you also found this site. I was told three weeks ago that I had invasive cervical cancer (Stage 1b) after routine pap that was abnormal, colposcopy and finally a cone biopsy. I'm scheduled on 4/3 for a radical hysterectomy.

I cried for two days, then I went web surfing and found this site and each day I find myself more and more positive. There are a lot of understanding women here.

Will be thinking of you Tuesday and saying prayers!

Welcome!

It's always nice to meet another sister. Glad you stopped lurking and said hi! I had uterine cancer and I am doing just great now. A hyst and an organ wash {chemo solution} fixed me right up and I am good as new. No cancer found in any checkups for over a year now.

I will keep you in my prayers. This is very survivable if they do find any. But wow, it's a shock to hear and it set me off on a roller coaster of emotions! It's very normal to be frightened, but we are all here for you. My sisters on these boards got me through it all and I hope you will be comforted by Hystersisters as much as I am.

Got my results!

The Dr. said he found no cancer in the tissue he collected from the uterus last week! This is very good news. He said it's possible that there could be cancer elsewhere, ovaries, etc but NOT probable.

I'm going to post on the Pre Op boards as I have my surgery date now.

Thank you ALL for your posts, and to those who wrote me privately. I can't tell you how much the support has meant to me. This has been a place to educate myself as well, and although scary at times I've felt so much better prepared with questions to ask my Dr.

Hi Sue (((hugs))))

I can understand the emotions you are going through.. I know for me after all my tests... I was soooO very worried... my bp went very high... emotions etc. etc... but after listening closely to my Gyn and with the support of my DH things became more clear and it seemed so much easier to deal with.. Right now I am on the other side of the fence following tah/bso w/ appendix too.. I had uterine cancer...with no female trouble prior to some light spotting and then more... that got my attention (in a hurry). I too had the biopsy, then D&C that confirmed my case... boy I could't wait to get in and get the whole works out....!!!!! I am two year post and no sign of return... My bp has returned to normal too.

I do hope you can find comfort in our sharing these things.... We are here to lend an ear and support!!!! Lots of hugs coming your way.. There are so many wonderful ladies to chat with who will be here to listen and offer support.. I know I found this site 2-3 mo post.... and I have been hanging out ever since
