My story of Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

Hello, I wish i would of found this website before i had my hysterectomy. But Im glad that I have found it either way cause it has helped me out alot. I hope my story along with this website helps others as well. I really didnt have an option when i found out i needed the surgery. It was either the surgery or chemotherapy. I have always had problems with my cycles. There were times when i would last 3 to 4 weeks and then times when i would skip months. Ive gone to different drs and they always told me the same thing that i was healthy and thats just how my body was. My husband and I had been trying to have a baby and only got pregnant once and after 3 mths i miscarried. After that i never got pregnant again. We went to fertility drs and both of us were fine. We figured we were trying to hard so we stopped. This past august i lasted 7 weeks on my cycle. But this time it was different i was super heavy with huge clots but i never went to get checked. One day after work my husband took me to the er cause i was real pale and tired and having chest pains. I was admitted right away and needed to get 3 units of blood. This was sept. 30 2013 and this day changed my whole life around. Drs found 12 cysts total on my ovaries and my red blood cell count was at a 4 when its suppose to be 11. Dr told me he was gonna schedule a d&c and remove all cysts and from there he was gonna put me on some fertility pills to help us conceive. The following week i went back for a check up and my dr then told me he couldnt put me on the pills cause i had endometrial cancer amd he wanted to do a hysterectomy asap. I was at stage 1 but he didnt want to chance it spreading if it hadnt yet. Dec.4th i had my surgery and the following thursday i got my results from the surgery. It showed the cancer was worse then what the dr had thought but with the surgery he had removed all of it. I havent had much pain since my surgery but i have noticed hot flashes and Ive been really emotional. But since i have found this website ithas helped me cope with all the changes in my life now. I am very greatful that this past wednesday 1-1-14 i am 4 weeks cancer free. Thank you Hystersisters for helping me understand the changes better.
