I had a cesearean section and was cut horizontally, and it looks like I will have to be cut again, because my fibriods are large (will know tomorrow how big) does anyone know if they will cut that way again?

I am hoping, rather have a bikini cut than a vertical one.

Hi Lis,

I think the type of incision depends on why you are having the surgery and your doctors' preferences.
However, this is your body so please discuss the incision tomorrow with your doctor. Don't be shy about letting him know what you want.
Here's a link to some other pre-op questions you may wish to ask when you meet with your doctor and/or surgeon. It is from the Home Page of HysterSisters and there are many other pull down menu's that you might find help.
We are glad you found us. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you. We're here for you.

Hi Lis,
From other posts I've read here, it seems that many ladies who have had c-sections and now need TAH do end up having another horizontal incision. However, you need to talk to your doc to be sure about this. When fibroids are very large, or if you have other complicating factors, your doc may want to use a vertical incision. Let us know what you find out!
