Endometrial Cancer/Pelvic Pain

Dear Friends, I had a hysterectomy(total) for endometrial cancer on February 18...First I had a urinary tract infection, and now have a great deal of pelvic pain on the right side...My initial surgeon only gave me pain meds--so I decided to go to someone else--who took a CT Abdomen and Pelvic Scan and said that I have fluid in my pelvis. Gave me an antibiotic which hasn't helped.
Was wondering if any other ladies have been through this type of thing--and what they have done...
The pain is sometimes so bad, that it is unbearable....Fortunately, the cancer was removed with the hysterectomy and am in no need of further treatment at this time....that is good.
Am concerned about the increased pain I am having and what to do??/ Ladies, any suggestions??

Hi Fran

I'm glad you posted here. The loving support from these is just the best.
I'm sorry you are still having pain and discomfort. And I am sure the worst is not knowing what exactly is going on.
Sending lot's of 's!
I wish I had some more insight to offer you. But I am sure there will be many more posts today that can give you some advice and encouragement.
Have you had any relief at all? Is it time to see yet another doctor?
Sending a er that you will have answers and relief real soon.

Endometrial Cancer/Pelvic Pain

Hi Frances, sorry I cant help you but maybe shelley's suggestion of seeing another Dr is a good one or even going back to your current Dr and just telling him that you are still in pain and something has to be done ! Pain is a hard thing to deal with when it is constant. I sure hope it gets better soon. love always xxx

Endometrial Cancer/Pelvic Pain

Sorry to hear of your pain. I have neverheard of fluid in the pelvis. What does that mean? How do you get rid of it?
You are only a few weeks post-op. Did you hav an oncologist do the surgery? Have you called their office?
There is no reason to be suffering!!!!
Call the doctor's office. Please let us know how you are doing. Keeoing you in my prayers and thoughts.
