Re: The joys of no period

I work with mostly men. I cannot wait to open my purses and not have the tampons, pads and wipes show when I reach for a pen.

Or having tampons and pads hidden everywhere just in case. I am scheduled for Feb 27th and I have my overflow packed already. Saving some for last period and post op but I won't need the 10 packs I have accumulated. I am addicted to buying them! Always afraid I would run out.

Not having to worry that my dog will get into the trash when someone forgets to close the door under the sink and drag nastiness all the way through the house. What is it with dogs and tampons???

(at least he still has those "yummy" litterbox treats!)

Re: The joys of no period

I'm only 12 days post op. Looking forward to not having what I called "my husbands friend" coming to visit me. I've been in the same boat as a lot of you. Having to leave work because of the gush syndrome. I keep peroxide at my desk so that I could clean my chair when accidents happen. Waking up in the middle of he night hoping I made it to the bathroom before it was every where. Not being able to swim with my grandkids because of heavy periods. Changing tampons and pads every hour to hour and a half. Freedom at last!!

The rainbow of colored wrappers... it always cracked me up, as if bright colorful packaging made it less unpleasant...lol

Re: The joys of no period

Hi ladies, thank you all so much for your honesty and humor. So many of the things written here were my life and I really thought it was just me that did the multiple pad thing! And the jumbo basket to hold all my supplies and stashed pads everywhere in case I needed something in a hurry. For the last 3years I haven't gone a single day without wearing a pad and the other day it wasn't until about 3 hours after I got dressed that I realised I wasn't wearing anything. My Endo had adhered my uterus to my bowel and bladder so it was truma all around down there. Isn't this freedom great???
